EV 1202 Ref.

Compared to the smaller EV 900 Ref, the EV 1202 is designed for medium- to large- listening-rooms. Offering even less distortion, with punchy and controlled bass even at high SPL. Still being a slim and elegant high-end speaker.

We offer modernism and simplicity in the the design of our products. With attention to detail we select materials and define textures.
In a Credo speaker you’ll find several very unique features and designs, developed and implemented over many years. We always focused on the highest goal in speaker-design, to reproduce all kinds of music and genres, without compromise.

So the paper-cone, symmetrical drive mid-woofer is accompanied by a 1“ tweeter. The mid-woofers sliced- cone prevents effectively cone breakups, so it is playing from 33 Hz and blending over gently to the tweeter, protected by a high-pass filter. As always with Credo Audio speakers, we achieved linear impedance and a very good efficiency, making it an easy load for amplifiers.

The Credo EV 1202 Ref. strengths include crystalline clarity that never gets edgy, a delicacy to detail, supple nuance, a huge and very well defined sound image, and the ability to completely disappear leaving the physical presence of music in their place. If you want the Credo to tilt toward higher resolution and tightly controlled bass, the Mola Mola Kula gets you there and then some. Looking for a bit more richness and fatter sounding fun? The PrimaLuna EVO 300 works wonders with the 1202s as does the LTA Z40+ that leans a bit more towards detail and delicacy, and if you want the best of all worlds with a holographic sound image that’s flat out spooky in its thereness, Riviera has your ticket.

If you are looking for a sleeper system it is this one right here. This unassuming setup consists of Credo EV 1202 Ref, a pair of LTA ZOTL40 Reference+ Power amps, MicroZOTL Preamp, and a Meitner MA-3 Integrated DAC. When I walked into the room I was looking for a subwoofer, I couldn’t believe the power and presence coming from the relatively small Credo speakers. The detail was spectacular, high frequencies were airy and light, with a superb midrange and reaching low into the bass tones. The sound came across as fairly balanced with a touch of warmth.
